The Congregation of the Franciscan Missionary Brothers was founded in India in 1901 by Rev. Bro. Paulus Moritz of Germany. Since then, the Congregation has devoted itself to the service of humanity through its various schools, colleges, orphanages, and technical institutes across several states in the country. In addition to these institutions, the Franciscan Congregation has extended its presence to many other countries such as Germany, Switzerland, and the USA. The Women’s Kabaddi Team won the Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi Tournament 2025–26 with an outstanding performance. The team was recognized for their teamwork, determination, and excellence in the tournament.
Hemanth Gowda, a I BBA (Reg B) student, secured a Silver Medal in the 4×100m mixed relay while representing the Karnataka team at the 3rd National Open Relay Championship held in Chandigarh on 28th March 2026. He was recognized for his dedication, discipline, and outstanding performance at the national-level competition.
Menmozhi and Kenny Stephen, students of BBA and BBA Aviation, secured 1st Place in the HR event, while Bishal Koiri and Charan R secured 2nd Place in the Marketing event at an inter-collegiate fest held at CIMS College, Jayanagar 2nd Block. They were recognized for their excellent performance and competitive spirit.
Manushree, a III B.Com A&F ‘B’ student, and Prathiksha, a III BCA ‘A’ student, secured Gold Medals, while Dharani, a II B.Com A&F ‘A’ student, won a Bronze Medal at the South Zone ASMITA Khelo India Pencak Silat Competition, representing Karnataka State. They were recognized for their outstanding achievement and performance at the national-level competition.
Pragati, a BCA student, and Charan Teja, a B.Com student, emerged as winners at the WE Utsav 2026 – Innovative Business Idea Competition organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). They were recognized for their outstanding performance, innovative thinking, and confident presentation.
The Men’s Rugby Team secured the Runners-Up position at the BCU Inter-Collegiate Rugby Tournament organized by SFGC, Yelahanka. Mr. Subramanya, a III B.Com BDA student, was awarded the “Best Player of the Tournament” for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
Our student Fazil Rehman of First Year M.Com secured a Silver Medal by lifting 311 kg at the South Zone Weightlifting Championship, won a Silver Medal in the All India Inter-University Weightlifting Championship by lifting a total of 305 kg, and has been selected to participate in the Khelo India Championship.
Dr. Jagadeesh Babu B V, Associate Professor of Kannada, was honored with the “Sri Parameshwara Pulikeshi Award” by the Akhila Karnataka Kannada Chalavali Kendra Samithi, Bengaluru, on 1st November 2025, during the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava Programme.
