REPORT ON “Code Wave”

Objective:
The objective of the event was to conduct a written, code-based riddle-solving competition aimed at enhancing students' problem-solving and analytical skills.

Outcome:
Students actively participated and showcased their talent in code-based riddle-solving. Through this competition, they demonstrated their problem-solving skills, and three students were recognized as winners, highlighting their exceptional abilities. The event successfully encouraged students to apply and develop their analytical and coding skills in a challenging environment.

Report:
The Department of Computer Science and Applications organized an engaging and intellectually stimulating event titled "Code Wave" on 6 November 2024. Held from 2:30 to 3:30 PM in Room No. 410, this event aimed to challenge students with a written, code-based riddle-solving competition. Coordinated by Ms. Bhargavi Jagadish and Ms. Prabha Susy Mathew, the event offered participants a unique opportunity to test and showcase their logical and analytical coding skills in a competitive setting.

The primary objective of "Code Wave" was to foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills among the students while encouraging a fun, team-oriented atmosphere. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total of 23 students from the Computer Science
Department stepping up to the challenge. As the event progressed, 14 of these participants advanced to the second round, which added an extra level of intensity to the competition.

By the end of the hour-long session, three talented students emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional skills and quick thinking. They are:
1. Haricharan V from 5th semester BCA 'B' secured the 1st place
2. Devibala Nagarajan from 5th semester BCA 'A' in 2nd place
3. Koguru Varshitha from 5th semester BCA 'A' in 3rd place.

Their performances demonstrated both individual talent and the high standard of training provided by the department. Overall, "Code Wave" was a resounding success, meeting its objectives by engaging students in a rigorous yet enjoyable coding challenge. The event not
only highlighted the participants' skills but also inspired others to enhance their problem-solving abilities, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
