Objectives of the Event : The Web Design workshop was organized under the flagship of IT-Club ImpeTus – Industry Connect in order to introduce the students to develop web pages using the Visual Code IDE in a professional manner. The students can quickly learn to develop basic web pages and they would acquire the web development skills. The event was organized by the Department under the coordination of Dr. Nazura.

Profile of the Resource Person:
Mr. Swapnil Narayan, is an IIT Dhanbad, Computer Science alumini. He is a Software Engineer in Microsoft IDC, and is currently working with the Microsoft Security and Compliance Team. He has had offers from Amazon and Oracle for Software Engineering roles.

Providing solutions to real world problems using software and programming is something that excites Mr. Swapnil. His interests lie primarily in the field of Software Engineering, Web Apps, and Databases. A strong believer in the power of collaborative working he is highly enthusiastic about helping the community in gaining programming skills and in growing together.

Mr. Swapnil is a very passionate Web Development Instructor and has been contributing with his Web Dev skills on platforms like Skillenza, CodeChef, and PrepBytes. He has won various national-level hackathons and has participated in various Devfests thereby contributing to the growth of the developer community. In addition, he has got invitations from various IITs, NITs, and other top engineering colleges for sessions on Web Development and Interview Preparation. Swapnil sir will be your mentor for the Web Design Session and will walk you through the concepts and projects in the session.

Report of the Event:
The workshop was conducted in two sessions. The first session was conducted on 3rd July 2021. It was attended by 110 participants and the duration was 2 hours. The participants were sent the link for installing Visual Studio Code so that they could participate actively and hands-on in the workshop. The first session introduced the students to the Web Design concepts and HTML. Students were introduced to CSS. The participants actively participated and the session received an excellent feedback.

The second session was conducted on 10th July 2021. It was attended by 85 participants and the duration was 1.5 hours. The participants were taught CSS ain detail and were also introduced to Javascript. They got an insight relating to website development. The participants actively participated and the session received an excellent feedback.
