·Teaching the cadets the essential skills and knowledge to respond to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest, injuries, and illness.
· Empower NCC Cadets to respond confidently and efficiently in emergencies.
Outcomes:
·Cadets will demonstrate improved decision-making and problem-solving skills in emergencies.
·Cadets will demonstrate proficiency in performing first aid and CPR skills.
Report or Overall Summary:
The First Aid and CPR Training program for college NCC cadets was successfully conducted on 29th November 2024 at St. Francis School, Nursery Block. The participants of the event were 45 Cadets, 1 PI Staff and 1 ANO. The program aimed to equip the cadets with the essential skills and knowledge to respond to medical emergencies. The resource person, Dr. Masroor Mir Hussain, MBBS, a renowned medical expert, provided comprehensive training to the cadets. The training session covered various aspects of first aid, ABC, and CPR, including wound management, bleeding control, and cardiac arrest management. Dr. Masroor Mir Hussain also demonstrated various first aid and CPR techniques, which were followed by hands-on practice sessions for the cadets.
The cadets actively participated in the training session, asking questions and clarifying doubts. They also demonstrated a keen interest in learning first aid and CPR skills and enthusiastically participated in the practice sessions. By the end of the training session, the cadets had gained a comprehensive understanding of first aid and CPR principles, as well as the practical skills necessary to respond to medical emergencies. The training program was well-organized, and the resource person was excellent. The cadets appreciated the interactive and hands-on approach adopted by Dr. Masroor Mir Hussain, which made the training session engaging and informative. Overall, the First Aid and CPR Training program was a huge success, and the cadets are now better equipped to respond to medical emergencies.
