A comprehensive Free Health Check-up Camp was organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of St. Francis College, in collaboration with Clove Dental Bangalore. The event, held on 13th November 2024, aimed to provide essential health services to students, staff, parents, and the general public. The camp ran from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the St. Francis School's Nursery Block and saw an impressive turnout, with over 400 participants availing of the free medical services.
Facilities Offered:
a. Eye Check-up: Participants had the opportunity to undergo a thorough eye examination, ensuring early detection of any vision issues.
b. Dental Check-up: A detailed dental check-up was provided, focusing on oral hygiene and early signs of dental issues.
c. Thyroid Test: Participants underwent thyroid testing, crucial for identifying thyroid imbalances.
d. Blood Pressure Test: Blood pressure screenings helped detect potential hypertension concerns.
e. Blood Sugar Test: A vital test to monitor blood glucose levels and identify early symptoms of diabetes.
f. Haemoglobin Test: To assess the hemoglobin levels, which are critical for detecting anemia and other blood-related issues.
g. General Consultation: General health consultations were provided, addressing any medical concerns or queries from participants.
Over 400 individuals participated in the camp, benefiting from the variety of free health services. The event successfully raised awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and provided valuable medical advice to attendees.
This initiative was a significant step in promoting health awareness in the community, and the collaboration between St. Francis College's NCC unit and Clove Dental Bangalore contributed to its success.
