Objective/s: The main objective of this program is “to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse and to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society.
Outcomes:
·Students learned about the ill effects of the usage of drugs.
·Participants came to know their role in reducing illicit trafficking.
Report or Overall Summary:
The Event was conducted by the NCC Unit of St. Francis Institution, Koramangala in association with Koramangala police station. The event started by taking Pledge from all the dignitaries, NCC cadets, and other volunteers.
The Chief Guest Sri. Balakrishna Shetty, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Bangalore Urban district, spoke about the ill effects of drugs, how to stay away from drug abuse, and the role of youth in illicit trafficking. All the volunteers participated in the rally to raise awareness in the public not to use illegal drugs. Later, Bro. Peter, Director of St. Francis College distributed a certificate of appreciation to all the participating schools as a token of gratitude for their effort and dedication, making this event meaningful.
