Chinnudi Kannada Sangha Inauguration Programme Report

St. Francis college Kannada department on 10th August 2019 launched “Chinnudi Kannada Sangha” this programme was chaired and inaugurated by Reverend Bro. Sayimon, Director and Provincial. Bro. Peter , Assistant Director and Ms. Sameera Fermandes, Dean of Academics were the chief guest. The program started with prayer from Teja Narayan and team along with Hachhevu kannadadha deepa and ended by vandhe matharam. Dr. Jagadeesh Babu B.V, HOD Kannada welcomed the honourble chairperson and the chief guests with welcome speech. Oath ceremony for ‘Chinnudi’ Kannada Sangha was honoured by Ms. Sameera Fermandes where the members of the sangha took to the oath.

Classical dance was performed by Kruthika and VT was presented by Rakshith M and team about Kannada language richness, culture, art and history of kannada dynasties, etc. Later this was followed by prize distribution, as we were proud to award the 2nd year PUC students who secured highest marks in kannada (Board exams of April 2019) and also awarded to non-native kannada speaking staffs members for their excellence to learn and speak kannada language. Finally the programme ended with vote of thanks from Mr. Nagaraj A, Assistant professor – Kannada. Cultural committee member Kum. Prameela R. was cooperated in this function.
