The concept of a World Oceans Day was first proposed in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro as a way to celebrate our world's shared ocean and our personal connection to the sea, as well as to raise awareness about the crucial role the ocean plays in our lives and the important ways people can help protect it.On Occasion of World Ocean day program was organised in the college by NSS in the college at seminar hall ,it first started welcoming volunteers and briefing about the importance of the ocean in our life for the mankind for the upcoming generations. Speech was given to the audience and a video was played in the seminar hall as a awareness program. The program was lasted till 5 pm.
