The Commerce Club - Unicorn Squad Organised an Event called KAHUNA -The Best Manager. Ms. Andrea Thomas and Ms. Nikhitha S Thomas from the department of Commerce were the faculty coordinates. Sindhuja from V semester B.Com (A&F), Sindhu Mishra from III semester B. Com and Vidhanfrom I B. Com (LSCM) were the student coordinators for the event.The objective of conducting the event was to develop and inculcate the skills of leadership,team management and communication among students.37 students registered for the event and 34 students were present on the day of the event.The event had 5 rounds.

Round 1: Aptitude Round
The first round of the event was on 11/01/2023 (Wednesday).37 students registered for the event and 34 showed up on the day of the event.In the first round, three sets of questions were included, that is 15 GK Questions(15m), 1 sudoku(5m), and 1 Crossword(10m). The participants had to finish all 3 sets of questions in 25 minutes. The total score was 30 marks. Out of 34 Participants, 15 were shortlisted for 2nd round.

Round 2: Deposition Round
Round 2 was a Deposition Round were the 15 participants (managers) were given a case that happened in their company and the managers had to defend their company, they had to convince the advocate, and have a out of court settlement. Best 10 managers were qualified for the next round. The judges for this round were Mr. Alan Job Jose and Ms. Priyanka.The following case study given to the students:

ROUND 3: Press conference
The participants(managers) had to defend their company as there was an incident that happened in their company. The judges for this round were Ms. Anima , Ms. Andrea, Ms.Prerana Ramesh. For the next round 7 managers were nominated. The following case study was given You are the manager of Union carbide India pesticide plant. A toxic gas leak from a Union Carbide India pesticide plant in Bhopal, India killed up to 30,people from immediate and long-term effects (according to estimates) and injured about 7500. The accident is one of the world’s worst industrial disasters.

The leak was caused by the introduction of water into a chemical tank, which resulted in a heat-generating, runaway reaction. Several inquiries found evidence of company negligence, but an internal analysis blamed employee sabotage.
Researchers have written extensively about the accident, reports state that the manager was aware about the defect and had bribed a government official for a fake license.

ROUND 4: Overnight Round
In this round the managers had to prepare a Resume and PPT on their company, this round happened completely online. The coordinators dropped a message in the WhatsApp group around 10:00 PM on 18/01/2023 , and was informed to send it by mail before 04:00 AM on 19/01/2023. For the final round 5 managers were nominated. Round 5: STRESS INTERVIEW
In this round, the participants (managers) were questioned based on their resumes and PPT’s. The judges for this round were Ms Prerana Ramesh, Ms Divya and Ms Anima.The winners for the event was as follows - Lakshmi Shree from 5th semester A&F A section won the first place, Suchirfrom 1st semester A& F won the second place and Krithikfrom 1st semester B. Com A section won the third place.
