REPORT ON THE EVENT “CRITICAL THOUGHTS – CASE STUDY COMPETITION”


OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT : To stimulate the critical, reasoning and analytical behavior of students by exposing them to realistic cases of business world.
OUTCOME OF THE EVENT : The students learnt the methodology of solving the cases and application of analytical skills to resolve the issues of real life situations.

RULES OF COMPETITION :
Guidelines Critical Thoughts 2021

• The interested students should register and join Whatsapp group – Critical Thoughts (Whatsapp group link will be in Registration form).
• The summary must use Times New Roman 12-point font and must be single-spaced.
• The summary must be saved in Microsoft Word format.
• Participants are expected to conduct any and all necessary research through publicly available resources.
    Use of all library resources, class textbooks, and websites are welcome.
• The cases will be shared through official Whatsapp group – Critical Thoughts
• Follow the prescribed format to resolve the case
• Participants are allowed to use images and data available in open source.
• Participants are expected to present their own idea and solution to the issues pertaining to the case effectively.
• If the review panel observes any plagiarized content (copied directly from the internet source), action will be taken to
    disqualify such participant.
• Certificates will be issued to all participants
• Executive summary/case study analysis report should not exceed 5 pages (Including Cover page).
• Maximum Time to submit the executive summery through mail is 4 hours from the time of circulation of the case.
• Executive summary in the prescribed format to be submitted to the given mail ID (Will be communicated later)
• Executive summary/case study analysis report should not exceed 5 pages (Including Cover page).
• Maximum Time to submit the executive summery through mail is latest by 11-06-2021 - 6 p.m.
• Participants are informed to conduct a detail research related to the lead provided in the case (summary or gist of the case will be there)
• You can select any of the cases from the pool of cases, based your convenience and interest. (Cases will be shared on 11-6-2021, 2 p.m.

The competition started at 2:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 11th June 2021. Mr. Rakesh Nadig, Convenor, initiated the event by sharing the cases through official Whatsapp link. The judges of the events were Ms. Amrutha K P and Mr. Jesmon Raj. Each Participant had given a choice of selecting the case based on their choice. There were 16 participants. They were given 4 hours time to consolidate data and they have to find the solution for the pertinent issues of the case. Winners of the event mentioned in this report. The event got a very good feedback from the participants who were looking forward to participate in the upcoming competitions organized by Vanijya.
